LOOK AT THE CHANGES HAPPENING AT THE IKE’S!

The new bi-laws have taken affect on September 1st, 2017.  With these new bi-laws the position of Shooting Manager was created to assist in the coordination of all shooting events at the Ike’s.  Vic Atwell was asked and accepted the position.  He will be the liaison between all shooting activities reporting directly to the E-Board.

A Voice-Activated Call System was put into place for Thursday and Friday evening Trap beginning August 24th.  The new system has been well received.  Everyone is enjoying the upgrade to the Trap Range.  Trap shooting hours are Thursdays, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Special thanks to Jake Kinney, Grounds Manager, for going above and beyond in mowing, trimming, and edging at the Trap Range.  Looking great!

The Trap house is now the Official green color!

Peggy Baugher has done a great job in coordinating and updating the Ike’s Clubhouse kitchen.  Fresh paint, new stainless appliances, and a new floor that gives the Ike’s, not only a beautiful new kitchen, but a very efficient environment to serve the great luncheons for the registered shoots and all the charity shoots that Jack Baugher of Shotgun Frenzy oversees and coordinates for the Howard County Izaak Walton League.

(Peggy finishing the set up of the kitchen.)

The commitment of those volunteers at the Ike’s is second to none.  The volunteers are what make the Ike’s such a great place to shoot, whether it be sporting clays, skeet, trap, or the shooting range.

Come by.  Visit with old friends.  Make new friends.  Shoot a round of sporting clays or check the schedule for Skeet or Trap and enjoy the updates and changes happening around the Ike’s!
