Bingo Closed At Izaak Walton League In Kokomo

The President of the HCIWLA would like to take this opportunity to offer an explanation to the recent closing of our Bingo operations as of March 4, 2021.

The HCIWLA Board of Directors had to make the difficult decision to cease our bingo activities at the Board meeting on March 4, 2021.  When we were forced to cease playing a year ago due to the Covid pandemic, it started a downward spiral that put the organization in financial hardship.  What started out as “two weeks to flatten the curve” ended up being three months of closure then changed to very limited play.  During all of this time the bills still had to be paid.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our patrons that have given us the opportunity to serve you over the years.  I would also like to thank on behalf of the HCIWLA Board of Directors, our Bingo Manager, Yvette Orr and all of her workers.  Yvette did all that she could to keep the Bingo part of our organization going.  We are all hoping that in the future we will be able to resume playing bingo and welcome everyone back to play.”

Best regards,

Brian T. Lentz, President HCIWLA
